On International Women’s Day, I would like to honour my mom who I miss more than I can express. As you can see from this picture she always had a positive attitude, she was always smiling….and no matter where she was there was always lippy in her hand.

I don’t know what it is but I’m struggling at work these days. I used to be so invigorated and inspired. Now I’m tired and frustrated. Is it my age, menopause, stress, grief? Probably all of it.

I found a poem I placed bedside my desk to read during the day:

I choose my peace today
Still waters run the deepest
I let the chaos fade away
Slow breath, soft shoulders
I am calm. I am okay.

If you’re struggling just know you’re not alone. This too shall pass.

I don’t know what it is but I’m struggling at work these days. I used to be so invigorated and inspired. Now I’m tired and frustrated. Is it my age, menopause, stress, grief? Probably all of it.

Not many things take me away from the cottage in the summer….but last Saturday we had a lovely time at the King’s Plate at Woodbine Race Track. The weather was amazing as was the food. ⁣

We were treated like royalty by our hosts (friends with a horse racing on the day). I also got to see my roommate from first year Uni. Great day overall. ⁣
